Mark Hamill Receives Joker Lightsaber

Mark Hamill stayed busy at the Star Wars celebration that has started  a lot of rumors and buzz. Even with all that is going Hamill still found time to hang out and interact with fans. Maybe the coolest interaction of them all is found in the video below.

The Lightsaber is incredibly detailed for a fan made piece and features Hamill’s iconic Joker laugh. He can be seen in the video above refusing to take the piece based on how expensive a piece it is.  Ken Hampton of Hampton’s Hand-Crafted LED Sabers,  is the creator uploaded a video of him giving the piece to Hamill. Who is only convinced to keep it once he learns that it was a fan funded gift for him.

Mark Hamill is best known by Star Wars fans as the iconic Luke Skywalker that he is reprising in the new add on films to the series. He is also very well known by Batman fans for lending his voice talents to voice the Joker in almost all animated additions.

The Joker lightsaber features Hamill’s well known Joker laugh. The gift shows just how dedicated and loyal a fan following that Hamill has had for his roles besides the aforementioned Luke Skywalker.

Hamill will reprise his role as the Joker in an upcoming animated film Batman: The Killing Joke that is scheduled to be released early next week(July 26th).   He is also signed on to again play the role of Luke Skywalker in the next film that is headed to theaters in 2017.

While Hamill may be remembered by many solely for his role in the Star Wars trilogies, he will be remembered by Batman fans as much or more for his great voice (and laugh) of the joker both within video games and films.
