Comic-Con 2016: Black Panther Cast And New Logo Revealed

The cast members for Black Panther have been confirmed and a new logo for the film has been revealed.

At Comic-Con 2016, Marvel Studios revealed to fans the initial confirmed cast members for Black Panther. The film will star Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa / Black Panther, Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger, Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, and Danai Gurira as Okoye.
Along with the casting announcement, Marvel Studios also revealed an updated version of the official logo for Black Panther.

Super-villain Erik Killmonger was created by Don McGregor and Rich Buckler. The character made his first appearance in Jungle Action #6 (September 1973). Born in Wakanda, he was exiled out of the country by T’Challa. Seeking revenge, he received an education from MIT and later returned to Wakanda—seeking to overthrow T’Challa as the ruler.
Nakia was created by Christopher Priest and Mark Texiera. She made her first appearance in Black Panther #1 (November 1998). From a young age, she was trained to be a Dora Milaje—deadly bodyguards and future wives for the king. Nakia would later ally herself with Killmonger and change her name to Malice.
Okoye was created by Christopher Priest. She made her first appeareance in Black Panther #1 (November 1998). She too was part of the Dora Milaje and served alongside Nakia. However, unlike Nakia, she remained loyal to T’Challa and Wakanda.

Black Panther has a release date of February 18, 2018.
