Attendees at Comic-Con 2016 who were in Hall H during Marvel Studios’ panel got to see some great footage from Spider-Man: Homecoming. Fans lucky enough to be present described the still unreleased clip as funny and exciting—with the reveal that the Vulture will be the main villain and played by Michael Keaton.
Ever since the announcement of Spider-Man: Homecoming, director Jon Watts has repeatedly stated that the film will remind people of a John Hughes coming-of-age comedy with elements of action—certainly a unique spin on the superhero genre.
In addition to the teaser, attendees also received the very first official synopsis for the film:
"A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Marvel Studios’ “Captain: Civil War,” begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging superhero in Spider-Man: Homecoming."
