The Justice League Trailer: 4 Takeaways To Know
By Andrew Zwaan
DC arguably came home the winner from San Diego Comic-Con 2016, releasing not just one, but three epic trailers! Out of the three, the Justice League trailer definitely came out on top.

The trailers for Wonder Woman, Suicide Squad, and Justice League (which was recently announced to be a standalone film, with a sequel coming a year or two after), were all met with heavy amounts of praise and excitement. In fact, the trailers even went so far as to make many one-sided Marvel fans eager to see DC’s movies once they come out in theaters.
And just like every other superhero movie ever, Justice League seems ripe with information, along with small nods to comic book fans. So, here are the four takeaways to know while watching the brand spanking new Justice League trailer.
A Powerful Aquaman
Finally, the King of Atlantis that we deserve … and need. This character has been mocked and ridiculed for far too long, and it’s about time he shows everyone what he’s truly capable of. And with this version of him, it seems like we’re getting exactly that. Believe me when I tell you that this Aquaman won’t be cracking jokes and using his fish for useless chores.
On another note, some of you may have noticed that his eye color changes throughout the Justice League trailer. This is likely due to the fact that he needs to get used to being on land.
Who Is The Unknown Seventh Member?
Remember way, way, way back in the ancient year of 2015, when Aquaman was featured on a poster that read “Unite The Seven”?
Well, an entire year later, we’re still left completely in the dark as to who that seventh member is. Obviously, we already know the rest of the squad—Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg. At this point, it’s anyone’s guess who it will be. Many suspect Green Lantern, who is rumored to make an appearance at the end of the film. After all, it would only make sense, considering that several years from now, a Green Lantern Corps movie will be arriving to the silver screen.
Others have a hunch it could be Green Arrow. And while that would be awesome, I just feel like since there’s a TV show already about him, it would be much more refreshing to get a proper Green Lantern (not like that 2011 abomination).
Differences Between Grant Gustin and Ezra Miller’s Versions of the Flash
Despite both Grant Gustin and Ezra Miller, playing, technically, the same character (Barry Allen), both of them bring something unique and different to the table.
Gustin’s version is very social and has tons of friends, while it looks like Miller’s is very alone and isolated. He’s basically all by himself—hence the “I need friends” comment.
Additionally, believe it or not, Miller’s portrayal might even be the nerdier of the two. When you take into consideration just how many computer screens the kid has, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out he’s a geek.
Heavier on the Jokes and Humor
Obviously, one of the many reasons as to why both fans and critics alike didn’t care for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was because it was so dark and brooding. Sure, there may have been a few jokes here and there, however, overall, it was meant to be a serious movie. It certainly looks like Zach Snyder and DC took note of that. Of what we’ve seen so far, the Justice League trailer seems to be the complete opposite of Batman v Superman.
The comic relief character of the movie is pretty obvious—it’s the Flash. The comments about him being the DC Extended Universe’s version of Spider-Man have come across as pretty accurate, at least from what the trailer has shown us.
Justice League will still have its fair share of dark moments, but, humor and jokes will be sprinkled in along the way.
