Gotham Season 3 Synopsis Released
Check out a very detailed synopsis for Gotham’s upcoming third season
Gotham is coming back in about 6 weeks for it’s 3rd season of pre-Batman criminal insanity. And Fox has released an official synopsis for the season as whole. This synopsis contains information we mostly already have reported on, so if you’ve kept up with that, this should not contain much new information. Still, it’s nice to have this all officially confirmed and collected in one place. Check out the official synopsis for season 3 of Gotham below:
"The origin story continues on Season Three of GOTHAM, and the stakes are higher than ever, as Super-Villains more ambitious and depraved are introduced, and a realignment of alliances shakes up the fight for power in Gotham City.Season Three will peel back the curtain on the infamous criminal organization known as the Court of The Owls. With the Indian Hill escapees on the loose, JIM GORDON (Ben McKenzie) must take matters into his own hands as a bounty hunter in Gotham. He makes it his mission to find HUGO STRANGE (guest star BD Wong), the mastermind behind the horrifying Indian Hill experiments, and FISH MOONEY (guest star Jada Pinkett Smith), one of Strange’s subjects. Meanwhile, GCPD Detective HARVEY BULLOCK (Donal Logue) and Captain NATHANIEL BARNES (Michael Chiklis) remain at the forefront of the fight against crime in the monster-ridden city. This synopsis doesn’t of course reveal the entire plot of how season 3 of Gotham will go, but it gives us a good idea where the season starts off. Gordon as a bounty hunter might be interesting, but it seems like yet another way to delay his eventual rise to captain and then commissioner of the GCPD. But maybe since in many versions he isn’t Commissioner yet when Batman starts that’s fine. Also not sure I need more mystery surrounding the death of Bruce Wayne’s parents. Have him take on the Court Of Owls, sure, but the his parents have been a focus for two seasons now, he should have some other story going. We’ll see how this all shakes out when season 3 of Gotham premieres on Fox September 19th!
