Scott Snyder starts an all new chapter of the Dark Knight in All-Star Batman #1

Scott Snyder had an extremely legendary 5-year run on Batman during the New 52 with artist Greg Capullo, creating many new villains and stories that could easily be considered modern classics. So when Scott Snyder announced he was stepping away from the main Batman title, many were definitely worried what would happen with it and what Scott Snyder’s next move would be. But it turns out that Scott Snyder still had plenty of Batman stories to tell, just not necessarily on a bi-weekly basis, so he’s heading up the monthly all new title All-Star Batman. The first issue of which is out tomorrow.

In All-Star Batman, Scott Snyder says he wants to explore villains he didn’t really get a chance to play around with during his run of the main Batman comic. And in All-Star Batman #1, he starts with Killer Moth & Firefly (though the first actual major arc will focus on Two-Face). Check out a synopsis and preview (along with a few variant covers) of All-Star Batman #1 below:

"SYNOPSIS: “My Own Worst Enemy” part one! Batman must take Two-Face to a destination out of Gotham City, but the duplicitous villain has a two of spades up his sleeve. Every assassin, bounty hunter and ordinary citizen with something to hide is on their tails with one goal: kill Batman! Handcuffed together on the road to hell, this is Batman and Two-Face as you’ve never seen them before!Writer: Scott SnyderArtist: John Romita Jr, Danny MikiCover: John Romita Jr, Danny Miki, Dean White, Jock , Declan Shalvey , Jordie BellaireRelease Date: August 10, 2016Page Count: 40 pgs$4.99Rated T for Teen"

Next: Super Sons Delayed To 2017

I’m definitely interested in Snyder’s take and what new dimensions he can bring to classic villains, as Joker was the only one he invested some serious time in on his previous Batman run. All-Star Batman #1 is available tomorrow.
