Kevin Conroy Wants DC Movie Cameo

Kevin Conroy thinks it’d pretty cool to get to appear in an upcoming DC movie

People might argue over the best movie Batman. But in the land of animation (and video games), there’s no contest. Kevin Conroy, who has voiced the Dark Knight in various projects for decades, is the definitive Batman. Sadly, he’ll never get to play Batman in a live-action movie. But acknowledging all he’s done for the character over the last 25 years on the big screen would be pretty cool, right?

Kevin Conroy certainly agrees with that idea. While he may have problems with how Batman has been portrayed in this DCEU thus far, that doesn’t put him off the idea of appearing in one of their movies. He answered this question talking to Comic Book Resources recently:

"Wouldn’t that be cool? I’m amazed no one’s thought of that! [That would be] so cool."

They are filming Justice League right now, so that seems like a pretty obvious thing. However I’d be worried Zack Snyder would have him show up just to be killed off or something. He seems to like things like that. The more fitting option would have him have at least a cameo in Affleck’s upcoming solo Batman film.

One thing I think he could be great for and have a substantial role in would be a Batman Beyond film. As senior Bruce Wayne. You could use some makeup or wait a few years. But given that he voiced the role in the Batman Beyond Animated series already, he’d be great for it. It would be a great homage to the animated Bruce Wayne/Batman. Both the character and the actor who has voiced him so well for so long. Kevin Conroy is nowhere near done being Batman. You can hear him voicing the character this Fall on Cartoon Network’s Justice League Action series.
