Preview: DC Rebirth Holiday Special

It’s a very DC Holiday in the DC Rebirth Holiday Special!

It’s December, and that means lots and lots of holiday specials. Including in the comic books. Though DC has done holiday specials in the past, they weren’t really a part of the New 52 era, so it’s pretty awesome to see them bring it back in Rebirth with the DC Rebirth Holiday Special!

The DC Rebirth Holiday special will have 11 different stories spanning 85 pages and feature stories from more than 20 creators. A particular highlight is Paul Dini returning to write a story featuring his super popular creation Harley Quinn.

In Quinn’s story, the Suicide Squad blew their holiday party budget, so Harley’s on her own, and ends up crashing the Justice League’s holiday party! Check out the synopsis for the DC Holiday Special and a preview of Harley Quinn’s story as well as one starring Batgirl & Nightwing below:

"It’s time to get into the holiday spirit! DC’s biggest and brightest heroes are here to celebrate the holidays. As you can see in the preview, some of these stories will be pretty short, I mean the Batgirl & Nightwing one is one-page. This collection looks like a lot of fun though. Like I remember the DC holiday episodes of shows like Batman: The Animated Series and Justice League and this looks to capture a lot of that same holiday spirit. The DC Rebirth Holiday Special will be out this Wednesday, December 14th for $9.99 at retailers and digital formats. I hope now that DC has brought back this holiday tradition, they continue to do it annually as superheroes and holidays are always a fun combination.
