The Reason It’s Great

Marvel’s Daredevil Season 1 was a great story arc, but Season 2 inches just above it. With an origin story out of the way, Season 2 had the Man Without Fear going up against the Hand and reuniting with Elektra. As a bonus, fans finally got the perfect Punisher after years of mishandling the character by other studios.

The absence of Wilson Fisk leaves a power vacuum in Hell’s Kitchen. As various gangs fight for power, Daredevil investigates a lone vigilante—known as the Punisher—who’s violently taking them out. Meanwhile, Matt’s ex-girlfriend, Elektra Natchios, manipulates him into a deadly war.

When Stick returns, Matt learns about the Hand and Elektra’s true nature. Matt’s day job as an attorney has him looking into Frank Castle and the reasons for his killing spree.

If you thought Season 1 was exciting and well-plotted, Season 2 takes the same formula and ups it exponentially. The original cast returns in top form, but Jon Bernthal’s haunting performance as the Punisher steals the show.
