Lex Luthor Will Return In Justice League

Jesse Eisenberg is listed in the cast for Justice League, meaning Lex Luthor will return

Lex Luthor is currently stuck prison. But that doesn’t mean he won’t be appearing in any upcoming DCEU films. In fact, he’ll be in the biggest DCEU film to date. Warner Bros sent out  a press kit with previews for all of their 2017 movies. Of course one of those movies, arguably the biggest with the most riding on it, is Justice League. A brief synopsis was given along with primary casts for the film. The synopsis is a little vague but you can check it out below:

So that confirms a lot of characters who aren’t part of the Justice League being in the film, such as Queen Hippolyta, who is played by Connie Nielson in the Wonder Woman movie that is out before Justice League. It also really confirms that we probably aren’t seeing any green Martians or Green Lanterns for that matter as they aren’t mentioned. But this isn’t the entire cast, there could still be a cameo or something.

As to Lex Luthor’s part in the film? There’s a lot of possibilities. He knew something was coming, I could see him being interrogated by the League (or just Batman) for information). He could also be an ally to Steppenwolf. But the Luthor of the comics isn’t usually a straight-up supervillain. If the Earth is actually in peril, he has be known to work on the side of good, which would be an interesting turn to make him at least a temporary ally. We’ll find out more obviously when Justice League comes to theaters November 17th…
