Injustice 2: Supergirl vs. Wonder Woman

I think it’s fair to say the public profile of DC’s top female superheroes, Wonder Woman and Supergirl, have never been higher. Supergirl is the lead in a hit TV show currently in its second season, Snd Wonder is not just in the highly anticipated Justice League film, she has her own solo movie (the first modern superhero film with a female character as the lead) coming out just a few months before that. And they both will be featured in the upcoming DC comics-based fighting game Injustice 2.

Wonder Woman was in the previous game, and certainly she’ll be at least slightly different from the previous one. But Supergirl is an entirely new addition to the series. So we are getting a chance to see just what Supergirl brings to the table in Injustice 2. She is a Kryptonian like Superman, but she’s much more agile and fights a very different style. IGN gave us a look at just what Superman’s cousin is capable of. Check it out in the video below:

Granted, this isn’t as exciting as seeing Supergirl actually take on Wonder Woman. It’s Wonder Woman just getting the crap beaten out of her while Supergirl shows off her moves. And of course with the added element of literally thousands of pieces of gear you can equip on your characters in Injustice 2, you Supergirl could be very different from anybody else’s Supergirl, making every match very different. I’m not even that hug a fan of fighting games, but I really enjoyed the first Injustice and I’m super excited about the sequel which will offer a lot more content for someone like myself who mainly plays solo. Injustice 2 is due out sometime in 2017 for Xbox One, PS4, iOS and Android.
