Justice League: Battle For Metropolis is a new “4D” interactive ride coming to Six Flags Over Georgia in 2017

Six Flags theme parks across the US are known for their wide variety of awesome and intense rollercoasters. Many of them based around well-known DC heroes and villains. But one thing they are kind of lacking are those “4D” experiences that while a fun ride, aren’t necessarily high-intensity and focus a little more on the visual experience. Like the majority of rides at places like the Disney theme parks and Universal Studios locations.

That’s set to change at least at Six Flags over Georgia next year. They are building a new interactive ride called Justice League: Battle For Metropolis that should be ready for the public sometime in the Spring of 2017. Dale Kaetzel, president of Six Flags Over Georgia, referred to the ride as a “birthday present to the metro area” referring to the park’s 50th anniversary coming up on June 16th.

"It’s not really a traditional dark ride; it’s an action adventure that you are in the middle of. People are going to experience an ‘Orlando attraction’ right here at Six Flags."

Justice League: Battle For Metropolis will have riders donning 3D glasses and aim laser guns in an effort to help save Superman’s home city of Metropolis from the likes of the Joker & Lex Luthor. Locations will include a subway station, LexCorp and the Joker’s Lair. You can get more info about Justice League: Metropolis and all the other rides and experiences available at Six Flags Over Georgia at the official website for the theme park.

Next: A DC Streaming Service?

I’m not saying you should make a special trip down for this ride, but I’m probably not the only one going to Georgia for Dragoncon in 2017. If I have time, I definitely might want to hop over from the convention area to check this ride out…
