Arrow: Talia Al Ghul Tied To Prometheus

Talia Al Ghul is coming to Arrow in 2017, and will be a big part of the Prometheus mystery!

Forget Gotham, Arrow is the most wannabe Batman show on television. From adapting a darker attitude than most of the comic its based on to straight up stealing several important characters from the Dark Knight’s stable. One of the latest is another daughter of Ra’s Al Ghul, Talia. Talia Al Ghul will be played by Lexa Doig (Andromeda, Continuum).

But how will this daughter of the Demon’s Head figure into the back half of Arrow’s latest season? It turns out she will be pretty key to unraveling the identity of season 5’s big bad Prometheus, according to showrunner Wendy Mericle.

One of the biggest mysteries of this season of Arrow is the identity of Prometheus. Clearly it’s somebody from Oliver’s past who knows about him and his secret identity as the Green Arrow. Lots of people believe it’s Tommy Merlyn, back from the dead and looking to put a hurt on everybody. That is certainly a possibility, but I really think Talia Al Ghul being key to the identity of Prometheus makes another possibility much more likely.

If Talia Al Ghul is central to figuring out Prometheus’ identity, it is most likely Prometheus is Ra’s Al Ghul. He is someone who knows all of Oliver’s secrets and how to get in his head. Sure, he was killed at the end of season 3. But death is at best a temporary condition for someone like Ra’s Al Ghul. Someone, possibly even Talia, could’ve easily gotten him to a Lazarus Pit and revived him. If it took longer than usual, though, he could be horribly disfigured, thus explaining the bandages he wears. Arrow returns on The CW Wednesday, January 25th.
