Darren Criss Is Music Meister In Flash/Supergirl Musical Crossover

Two of the Warblers perform together again as Darren Criss is cast as Music Meister for the Flash/Supergirl musical crossover!

Flash and Supergirl are set to have arguably their most ambitious and amazing crossover yet with a musical episode later this year. The cast of both shows is filled with actors that have some pretty broad musical range. So if you are going to do a musical episode, you need not just a villain up the musical challenge, but an actor that can hold their own with a cast like that.

So of course the Music Meister, who first appeared in animated form on the cartoon show Batman: The Brave And The Bold, seems like the perfect villain  for such an episode. But who is a good actor who also has outstanding musical chops to fit such a role?

Sure the obvious choice would be Neil Patrick Harris, as he well-versed in those areas and voiced the Music Meister in the Brave and The Bold animated series. However you can’t always get your first choice, but sometimes you end up with an equally awesome second one. And I believe they have found just that for the Flash/Supergirl crossover as the Music Meister will be played by yet another Glee veteran, Darren Criss, who played Blaine on the show. He and Grant Gustin, who plays Barry Allen aka The Flash are good friends off-screen and Gustin has often voiced his desire to get Criss on the show somehow. Looks like this will be how.

Darren Criss is a super great choice in my opinion for Music Meister. Probably the only reason I didn’t really think of him is because I haven’t seen him in anything but Glee, which I stopped watching a few seasons in, so he just wasn’t someone who sprang to mind. If the Flash/Supergirl musical does well, I wouldn’t want Music Meister to be a constantly recurring villain, but it would be a shame if it was a one-time only thing. Look for the crossover on March 20/21st of Supergirl & Flash.
