This week on The Flash, Barry trains Wally to enhance his speedster powers.

Last week on The Flash‘s “Dead or Alive” episode, Earth-19’s Gypsy arrived to apprehend H.R. Wells for illegal trans-dimensional travel. After his trial, he would be promptly executed. However, Barry and the rest of Team Flash would have none of that.

As Gypsy used her powers to transport into STAR Labs, Cisco and Wally briefly fought her. The battle would quickly prove to be pretty one-sided—with Gypsy being the more superior force. She gives H.R. the courtesy of getting his affairs in order before taking him back home.

When the deadline arrives, Gypsy finds Team Flash opposing her again. Learning about a way to help H.R. with Earth-19’s trial by combat option, Cisco rises to the challenge. Gypsy, amused, gives our Vibe one day to prepare.

As Cisco starts to lose faith in his ability to help H.R., Barry and the team rally around him and discover that Gypsy has a weakness that he can take advantage of. When Cisco faces off with her, he exploits that weakness and is able to win. Gyspy, knowing that she cannot let her superiors know that she lost a battle, forces H.R. to fake his death. He’ll no longer be able to return to Earth-19.

In Barry and Iris news, the two are still trying to hide from Joe what they learned about the future. Things take a semi-dark turn when Iris puts herself in danger for a story. Her excuse: she doesn’t want to die without making a mark on the world.

Barry also learns from Julian that in order to save Iris from Savitar, he’ll need to increase his speed—currently an impossibility given the time. Barry thinks of another option: he won’t be saving Iris. Wally—with his dramatic speed increases—will.

This week, Barry will train Wally and prepare him for the ultimate goal of saving Iris. Their practice runs will also involve Central City’s latest villain—a meta-human with the ability to decompose anything. Here’s the official synopsis:

“Untouchable”

"THE TOUCH OF DEATH – Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team at S.T.A.R. Labs work together to bring down Clive Yorkin (guest star Matthew Kevin Anderson), a criminal meta-human who is methodically killing people by causing them to decompose at an accelerated rate. Joe (Jesse L. Martin) becomes his next target but it’s Iris (Candice Patton) who is caught in the crossfire. The Flash mentors Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale) and begins to elevate the newer speedster’s training to another level."
