DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow Season 2, Episode 12 Synopsis: “Camelot/3000”
By Steve Lam
This week on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, the team travels to the future and then to the past to retrieve the Spear of Destiny’s remaining pieces.
Last time on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow‘s “Turncoat” episode, the team traveled to 1776 to save United States founding father George Washington from being assassinated by Rip Hunter, whose memories were manipulated by Eobard Thawne.

Yep, Rip Hunter is back … but evil. How can I put it another way? Rip has returned to his British time-traveling self, but Eobard tweaked his “identity” that was housed in the mnemonic device. The first task the Legion of Doom had Rip perform was assassinate George Washington—stopping the existence of the United States.
The resulting time aberration alerted the Legends to 1776. In their first attempt to save Washington, Rip shoots Sara and activates an EMP device, knocking out all power to the Waverider and neutralizing Firestorm and Ray’s ATOM suit.
As the team rushed to complete their mission, with Jax now as acting captain, Nate and Amaya also had a small romance (yeah, it was a weird and shoe-horned idea). Rip proved that he was permanently turned to the dark side when he finished the job and murdered Sara without the slightest bit of hesitation—he even seemed like he enjoyed it.
Thankfully, the deus ex machina of Gideon resuscitated Sara. It was just in time too, as Jax followed Rip out into the open, ready to kill him for what he did. Sara talked Jax out of it and promised the team that they will find a way to bring Rip back and make sure the Spear of Destiny doesn’t fall into the Legion of Doom’s hands.
This week, the Legends make good on that promise and travel to the future and then to Camelot in the past where they’re assisted by the Knight of the Round Table. I’m sure Ray and Nate will have a fun time nerding out. Here’s the official synopsis:
“Camelot/3000”
"ALL FOR ONE — The Legends continue their quest to hunt down the Spear of Destiny before the pieces fall into the hands of the Legion of Doom. The Legends discover that pieces of the Spear are each being guarded in different time periods by members of the JSA. Their first stop is the future where they find Dr. Mid-Nite (guest star Kwesi Ameyaw) which eventually leads them to the past and King Arthur’s Camelot, where Stargirl (guest star Sarah Grey) is protecting her piece of the Spear. In order to protect the Spear shard from the now-evil Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill), the Legends must join forces with the Knights of the Round Table."
