This week on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Rip maroons the Waverider 70 million years in the past.

Last week on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow‘s “Camelot/3000” episode, the team traveled to Medieval England to retrieve a fragment of the Spear of Destiny. Their journey had them coming face-to-face with Rip, who was allied with Damien Darhk and the Legion of Doom.

The Legends haul themselves to 507 AC Britannia (historian speak for England) after Gideon’s algorithm calculates a likelihood of the Spear of Destiny being in that era and location. The team is soon greeted by King Arthur, Guinevere, and the Knights of the Round Table—along with Stargirl, now posing as the legendary Merlin.

The Legends learn that the JLA’s final mission involved Rip having each hero hide a piece of the spear across time. The now evil Rip and Damien quickly crash the party. With their mind-controlled knights, they give the Legends a deadline to present to them a crucial piece of the Spear. If the Legends fail to do so, Camelot will pay.

Amaya learns that Stargirl molded the Spear’s head onto the tip of Excalibur and embedded it inside the legendary stone. After retrieving it, Stargirl charged Amaya with the mission to protect the Spear. Why? Stargirl had fallen in love with Arthur and wanted to stay in Camelot.

In the final battle, Rip is defeated after Mick disabled the mind-control device. The team captures the Time Master and imprison him on the Waverider. However, the concluding scenes have Rip calling out to Gideon, who still responds to her former captain’s commands.

This week, Rip will escape his cell and wreak havoc on the Waverider. In a bid to save the team and Rip, the Legends will enter his mind and attempt find the good Rip. Here’s the official synopsis from The CW:

“Land of the Lost”

"A DIVIDED MIND — After capturing Rip (Arthur Darvill), he forces the Waverider to crash, leaving the Legends stuck seventy million years in the past. Ray (Brandon Routh) leads Amaya (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) and Nate (Nick Zano) to recover a vital piece of the ship. In an effort to get the “good” Rip back, Rory (Dominic Purcell) suggests they enter Rip’s mind, but what Sara (Caity Lotz) and Jax (Franz Drameh) discover in his subconscious is not pleasant and they must fight evil versions of themselves. Meanwhile, Nate and Amaya continue to get closer, but it could cause serious ramifications."
