New Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 Trailer One-Ups Itself

The second Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 trailer has been released and things just keep getting better.

We all know that one kid who was mercilessly teased in school. He would go home, look in the mirror and repeat to himself, “I’ll show all of you. One day, I’m going to do something big. And all of you will know my name!” I have a feeling that Guardians of the Galaxy is the film universe’s version of that kid.

When the first film’s trailer dropped, comics laypeople and general audiences had very little knowledge of the property. It was obscure. It was widely predicted to be Marvel Studios’ first failure.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Guardians of the Galaxy became one of the biggest blockbusters of 2014 and the characters became household names. It was a movie that truly embodied the tagline, “You’ll laugh. You’ll cry.”

Today, the second trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was released. After a day-before hilarious tease of Drax annoyingly slurping his soup, the much-awaited new footage hit the net and went above and beyond fan expectations. It seemed like the film still had something to prove.

All the characters—Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, Baby Groot, Yondu, Nebula, Mantis—were shown, and there’s no denying that audiences fell in love again (well, they probably loved Baby Groot just a bit more than the others). The chemistry between the cast is still as strong as ever. And the laughs are relentless. Check out the film’s new trailer and poster:
