Is Marvel Teasing A New X-Force Title Or Something Else?
By D. Goodman
Marvel released an image on Twitter that seems to indicate they may be getting ready to bring X-Force back in a big way.
UPDATE: Two new members have been revealed from Marvel Entertainment’s Twitter feed. Check them out!
It has been a rough couple years if you are a big fan of Xavier’s band of mutant heroes, the X-Men.
Relegated to the sidelines the last decade while Marvel made movies featuring the Avengers and tried to replace them with the Inhumans, the X-Men have had a rough go of it. Not included in any of the publisher’s super-mega crossover events, with the exception of Avengers vs X-Men, the mutants of the Marvel Universe have been unseen and unheard from.
But this spring, that all changes in a big way.

The X-Men return to prominence in the Marvel Universe with ResurrXion, an initiative that will see a number of new titles as well as new creative teams for the continuing ongoings. These include X-Men Gold, X-Men Blue, Weapon X, Generation X as well as solo titles for Jean Grey and Cable.
The one title that is conspicuously missing? X-Force.
Last published in 2015, X-Force was the grim and gritty X-Men team that wasn’t afraid to get dirty. Originally an evolution of the first version of the New Mutants, since then X-Force has changed line-ups and reason for existing more times than I can count.
And now Marvel may be teasing they are making a comeback.
Marvel released a new image via their Twitter feed that includes Old Man Logan and Archangel drawn by Jim Cheung. It also includes a number of blank silhouettes that could be just about anyone.
Of course, over the last few years X-Force was the stomping grounds of both the original Wolverine and Archangel. And when you consider Domino and Warpath have not been seen in any of the ResurrXion promo materials, it doesn’t take a genius to connect the dots.

Factor in the fact that an X-Force movie is in the earliest stages of pre-production at 20th Century Fox and including the team in the rebirth of the X-Men family of titles makes perfect sense.
