Legion Season 1, Episode 7 Synopsis: “Chapter 7”

This week on Legion, David tries to free himself, and the team works to fight out of the demon’s illusion.

Last week on Legion‘s “Chapter 6” episode, David Haller and his friends lived in an alternate reality where they were all patients at David’s original psychiatric hospital. However, Syd and the rest of the team started to question the things around them.

The audience was taken for quite a ride in the last episode, with David and the team waking up in a psychiatric hospital—well, David’s old psychiatric hospital to be exact. Strangely, David was very content with it. Syd, on the other hand, was skeptical and started to dig into this illusion.

Syd’s efforts were hindered by Lenny, who was now the psychiatrist running the show. Lenny is soon revealed to be the demon, trying to convince David that he wasn’t wanted—all for the purposes of taking over his body and mind.

The team did get some outside help though. Oliver Bird (gotta love that guy), in his deep diving suit, appeared to Cary and Melanie. Though the visions were enigmatic, Cary and Melanie went along with it. Thanks to Jemaine Clement Oliver, both Melanie and Cary were soon able to break free from the demon’s trickery.

This week, David will fight to save himself from the demon’s possession. And Cary and Melanie will try and free the rest of the team from their mental prison. Here’s the official synopsis from FX Networks:

“Chapter 7”

"David tries to find a way out of his predicament."
