New Trailer For Telltale’s Guardians Of The Galaxy Game

Telltale Games has released a new trailer for their Guardians of the Galaxy video game series featuring Star-Lord and Thanos.

Telltale Games has been around since 2004, but if you weren’t a hardcore gamer, you likely never heard of them. Unlike most game studios, who develop games for disc, Telltale releases their projects episodically where the player downloads them to their console. That way instead of dropping a ton of money on a game you may not enjoy, you can try it out before you decide to go all in.

Telltale became known to the wider public with their game series based on The Walking Dead. The game was a massive success that has led to several follow-ups and a much higher profile for the company. It led to a series based on Batman that was also a huge hit and now the company is getting ready to release their next series, this time based on the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Set to arrive this April, Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series will feature a brand new story inspired by the comic books instead of the films.

From the Telltale website:

"Somebody Has to Save it!In the wake of an epic battle, the Guardians discover an artifact of unspeakable power. Each of the Guardians has a reason to desire this relic, as does a ruthless enemy who will stop at nothing to tear it from their hands. From Earth to the Milano to Knowhere and beyond, this five-part episodic series puts you in the rocket-powered boots of Star-Lord in an original Guardians adventure."

Last December Telltale released the first teaser, which didn’t give fans a whole lot of information about the project. But thankfully the studio has now released the first official trailer for the game. It features Star-Lord and Thanos and gives gamers a better sense of what they can expect when they play the first episode.

Pretty sweet looking, no?

Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series features the voice talents of Scott Porter as Star-Lord, Emily O’Brien as Gamora, Nolan North as Rocket, Brandon Paul Eells as Drax and Adam Harrington as Groot.

The first four episodes of the series are set to arrive on April 18 for $4.99 each and you can play the game on PlayStation4, Xbox One, Windows PC, and Mac in addition to the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Seems like the perfect way to get ready for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 which will be hit theaters everywhere in May.
