Rumor of three more characters being cast in Deadpool 2.

Deadpool 2‘s production may be delayed, but the the film already looking towards its post-credits scene. Via ComicBook.com, we have rumors that the sequel to the hit 2016 blockbuster will be adding three new mutant heroes who will be introduced at the end.

They will be … drum roll, please …

Sunspot

Created by Chris Claremont and Bob McLeod, Sunspot made his first appearance in Marvel Graphic Novel #4: The New Mutants (September 1982). The character is Brazilian and has the ability to absorb solar radiation and convert it to superhuman strength. In the comics, Sunspot became part of X-Force when Cable took over the New Mutants and renamed the team.

Feral

Created by Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza, Feral made her first appearance in New Mutants #99 (March 1991). Feral has a cat-like appearance. Her origins involve Cable rescuing her from the supervillain Masque. She would later join Cable’s X-Force.

Shatterstar

Created by Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza, Shatterstar made his first appearance in New Mutants #99 (March 1991). The character is an alien who was genetically engineered to be a slave on the planet Mojoworld. Due to his biological make-up, Shatterstar possessed superhuman strength, stamina, speed, and intelligence. Shatterstar was first part of X-Force, but later joined X-Factor Investigations.

These certainly aren’t household names to the layperson, but X-Force fans are probably getting extremely excited at the prospect of these characters making an appearance. Time will only tell if this is only a rumor or a leak.

Deadpool 2—No Official Synopsis

Deadpool 2 will be released sometime in 2018.

It will be directed by David Leitch, written by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Drew Goddard, and wil star Ryan Reynods as Wade Wilson / Deadpool, Josh Brolin as Nathan Summers / Cable, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Zazie Beetz as Domino, Karan Soni as Dopinder, and Stefan Kapic as Colossus, with T.J. Miller rumored to reprise his role as Weasel.
