This crossover event was built up for four years and it did not disappoint. Joss Whedon’s bright, pulpy vision is something right off the pages of a comic book and it succeeds in pulling off something that was thought to be impossible.
The writer-director channeled his love of the source material into a film that gives each of its heroes (even Hawkeye) their moments to shine and analyzes what really makes these costumed people tick. With strong character development, true stakes, and thrilling spectacle, it’s not hard to see why this is considered to be one of the greatest superhero movies of all time.
