Her Cape Guide to SDCC #88: AMC’s Deadquarters offsite event

Her Cape 100 Things to Know About SDCC continues with #88: AMC’s Deadquarters offsite event celebrating The Walking Dead.

AMC is bringing The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead to San Diego Comic Con in a big way with an offsite event celebrating both shows. Known as “Deadquarters,” this SDCC offsite event is a celebration of everything having to do with the world of The Walking Dead. This offsite experience is in addition to the booth inside the exhibit hall and the shows’ panels in Hall H on Friday.

Deadquarters will feature the Negan Batting cages and other show-centered attractions. It’s where the Fear the Walking Dead cast will sign autographs on Friday, July 21, and fans who show up might win a chance to meet the cast.

The TWD Family has been eagerly awaiting SDCC because the first trailer for The Walking Dead season 8 will be dropping during The Walking Dead panel at 12:15pm on Friday, July 21. With All Out War looming and everything on the line for Rick Grimes and the people of ALexandria (and the Kingdom, Hilltop and Oceanside), fans are eager to get a look at what’s coming when the show returns in October. Fear the Walking Dead, which bows for its mid-season finale on July 9, will take the Hall H stage at 11:15am.

AMC’s Deadquarters is open to all SDCC badgeholders as well as the general public. It is located near the Hilton Gaslamp Hotel at 4th and L St. at Martin Luther King Promenade, across the street from the San Diego Convention Center. It will be open Thursday through Saturday from 11am to 6pm and from 11am to 4pm on Sunday.
