Her Cape 100 Things to Know About SDCC continues with #89: The Her Universe “Geek Couture” Fashion Show at SDCC.
Her Universe is returning to San Diego Comic Con 2017 and they’ll once again play host to the Her Universe “Geek Couture” Fashion Show. Her Universe, a line of women’s clothing celebrating all things fandom and pop culture, is a favorite at SDCC. Not only will the fashion line be present inside the exhibit hall with items available for purchase, Her Universe will also host its fourth-annual fashion show.
The Her Universe “Geek Couture” Fashion Show will take place on Thursday, July 20, at 6pm at the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel. Ashley Eckstein, founder of Her Universe, will play host to the event. 26 designers will be featured in the show and they will compete for a chance to work with Her Universe to co-design a collection that will be sold at Hot Topic.
Her Universe is widely known for its women’s clothing geared popular fandoms. The line is sold at retailers all over, including Hot Topic, which is known for its trendy pop culture merchandise. Her Universe also has a popular line of workout gear for juniors that is available at Kohl’s.
With comic book movies becoming more and more mainstream, it’s nice having a place to purchase fandom-inspired gear made for women. Eckstein, who voiced Ahsoka on the animated Star Wars series, has developed clothing that is as stylish as it is fun to wear. From casual t-shirts and leggings to prom dresses, Her Universe has something for everyone.
