Her Cape 100 Things to Know About SDCC continues with #84: DC Comics celebrates 25 years of Harley Quinn, from cartoons to comics to the big screen.
Harley Quinn celebrates her25th anniversary in 2017 and DC Comics is bringing the celebration to San Diego Comic Con. Over the course of SDCC Harley fans will have a chance to meet the people who have helped to bring Harley Quinn to life over the years.
DC Comics’ press release talks about the plan to celebrate Ms. Quinn:
"“2017 marks the 25th anniversary of one of the most beloved Super-Villain/Anti-Heroes in history – Harley Quinn! First making her appearance in Batman: The Animated Series in 1992, the hilarious, terrifying and iconic Dr. Harleen Quinzel has gone from sidekick of the Joker to a full-fledged comic book and pop culture superstar. Harley will be celebrated by her co-creator Paul Dini, and a line-up of top artists and writers who have helped keep Harley in our hearts for over a quarter of a century, including artists Amanda Conner, Frank Cho, and Chad Hardin.”"
There’s no question that Harley Quinn has left her unique mark on pop culture. Fans have been cosplaying as Harley Quinn long before she appeared in Suicide Squad. With an ever-changing wardrobe and anything goes attitude, she always has fun no matter how much trouble she gets herself into.
