Deadpool has nothing but love for Wonder Woman

The Merc with a Mouth is known for his, well, mouth. But he only has nice things to say about Wonder Woman and the whole Wonder Woman family.

Deadpool has a big heart, and it turns out that his heart beats for Gal Gadot, Patty Jenkins, and the Wonder Woman film that keeps breaking records and beating its box office competition.

Ryan Reynolds shared a post on his social media accounts of Deadpool wearing a Wonder Woman necklace. He’s making a heart shape with his hands. The caption reads “The Merc may be filthier, but her B.O. is stronger. Congrats #WonderWoman.”

Both Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot, Wonder Woman’s director and the film’s leading lady, took notice of Reynolds’ post and responded to express their gratitude.

Reynolds recently posted that Deadpool 2 has begun shooting, which is welcome news for fans of the Merc with a Mouth. As superhero team ups go, it could be very, very interesting to see what would happen if Wade Wilson’s Deadpool teamed up with Diana Prince. Though it’s not likely for Deadpool to keep his mouth shut when in the presence of an Amazon princess, there’s a good chance Deadpool would do anything to find his way to Themyscira, home of the Amazons.

Wonder Woman and Deadpool both took the box office by storm. Wonder Woman was the first standalone female superhero movie and Deadpool was the first rated-R superhero movie to really catch on at the box office. (It was not the first rated-R superhero movie, but it was the first rated-R movie of the Marvel Cinematic Universe era) Both films defied expectations with their impressive runs at the box office, turning heads at studios and opening the door to a whole new era in comic book movies.
