After months of shooting, Avengers: Infinity War has officially wrapped production!

More from Movies

Principal photography on Avengers: Infinity War began back in January, and since then, the cast and crew have been hard at work. They’ve also been providing small tidbits from the set. These, paired with the film’s recent promotion at the Disney D23 Expo, are getting fans excited. And, now, it looks like production on the movie has reached its end.

Directors Joe and Anthony Russo took to social media to reveal filming for the first of the upcoming Avengers movies is finally finished. The post includes a picture showing a jokingly exhausted Joe lying on the ground and Anthony looking away from the camera, along with a caption that simply reads: “One down”:

It’s pretty safe to assume that the two are happy to be done with the project. But, of course, that’s only the first half of the race, as they still have to shoot the Untitled Avengers Sequel. According to reports, that film is expected to begin shooting sometime this month and conclude in late November or early December.

The Russo Brothers still have a long way to go before they reach the true end of their work, but with one phase of the production under their belts, the light at the end of the tunnel should be somewhat easier to see.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4, 2018 followed by the Untitled Avengers Sequel on May 3, 2019.
