Paul Bettany describes his experience on the set of Avengers: Infinity War!
Avengers: Infinity War promises to assemble a massive roster of MCU characters. One character who could have a pivotal role in the film is Vision, played by Paul Bettany. Like most of his Marvel colleagues, Bettany has been shooting for months, and still has more work to do. But it looks like he’s been enjoying the ride.
During an interview with Collider, Bettany spoke highly of his experience on the set of the film and seems to be enamored with its massive scale:

- New Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom trailer pushes Arthur to his limits
- 7 actors who could replace Ezra Miller as The Flash in the DC Universe
- Masters of the Universe reboot’s new domain could be at Amazon’s Prime Video Streamer

"“It felt like the biggest movie that I’ve ever made and will ever make, and we’ve still got to make the [next] one. It’s f**king crazy…It’s massive! The call sheets are bananas. When you see the list of cast members, you’re like, ‘How is anybody else making a film in Hollywood, this year? How are they getting films financed? Everybody is in this!”"
Despite being such a large production, the atmosphere is relatively laid back, which Bettany credits the Russo brothers for:
"“… [Joe and Anthony Russo] are so great. They’ve got so much trust, from the cast and from Kevin Feige and Marvel, in general. They’re incredibly on top of the day, when you show up, and they’re very open to your input and collaboration. They were incredibly relaxed. It was a wonderful, relaxed set that was stress free. It was a stress free set, which was brilliant.”"
It’s not very often that you hear of a blockbuster movie set being relaxed, especially for a film that is essentially two parts. But, the Russos appear to have found a way to keep the pressure off.

To hear Bettany speak, you would think he was just a visiting fan, and I mean that in the best possible way. It’s always nice to hear actors geek out over their work, and it’s typically a sign they’re actually enjoying themselves.
Bettany and the rest of the cast and crew still have a little ways to go before their journey is complete, and for their sake, let’s hope that it continues to go smoothly.
Avengers: Infinity War arrives in theaters on May 4, 2018, while the Untitled Avengers Sequel lands on May 3, 2019.
