Avengers: Infinity War will be one of the biggest movie releases of Marvel’s in its cinematic history. When will it hit theaters?

Avengers: Infinity War is the Grandaddy of Them All, as WWE’s Vince McMahon crowns his annual WrestleMania show. This movie will be one of the most anticipated of 2018, as it culminates the latest part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A plethora of characters that were seen in previous Marvel movies will be involved in what should be a star-studded picture.

This will be the third film under the Avengers title. The first came in 2012, with The Avengers. This was the original superstar team-up, which included Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), among others. An expanded cast was seen in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Most of these characters reprised their respective roles in the 2016 film Captain America: Civil War, which looked like a third Avengers film. This featured the battle between Team Captain America and Team Iron Man.

Avengers: Infinity War will play off the events of that film, along with the other Marvel movies that took place in between. This includes (or will include) Black Panther, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Thor: Ragnarok.

Even more Marvel characters will be involved in Avengers: Infinity War, too, like Doctor Strange and all the Guardians of the Galaxy members. It will make for a loaded cast in what should be a box office machine. Age of Ultron made $1.4 billion, but with the expanded cast and potential implications of this film, look for that number to be topped.

Moviegoers will get the opportunity to see Avengers: Infinity War when it hits theaters on Friday, May 4, 2018. It should be one of the spring’s top movies and make plenty of headlines over the coming weeks and months. Will you be going to your local theater to see this?
