Arrowverse crossover episode will be ‘Crisis on Earth X’
The Arrowverse crossover will see all four shows unite in “Crisis on Earth X.”
A crossover has become an annual thing for the Arrowverse shows, Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl. 2016’s four-part event had the heroes of all four programs unite to take down the Dominators, an alien species that invaded Earth.
Details on the 2017 event steadily made its way out. There was a teaser for an original member of the Justice Society of America, the dates for the crossover was revealed, and Arrow will move from Thursday to Monday for one week. This makes it a two-night event instead of four shows across four nights.
There’s an official title for the crossover, as revealed by all four superhero shows on The CW: “Crisis on Earth X.” The official poster is below.
That’s a loaded poster of Arrowverse characters, who will face evil doppelgangers of themselves. The surrounding border has a bevy of heroes, but what’s more interesting is the characters inside the frame.

It looks like Reverse Flash is back. Eobard Thawne, the man under the yellow suit, was taken out by the Black Flash in Legends of Tomorrow. Does this guarantee his return? Of course, that might be Barry Allen in the suit.
However, the biggest takeaway is what looks like the Allen-West wedding for Barry and Iris. That makes for a huge part of the crossover, and likely the story that takes over the four-show event. Will this “Crisis on Earth X” ruin their wedding?
This also gives an idea of when Barry will be out of the Speed Force. It could be as soon as the season 4 premiere. If not, there are six weeks to flesh it out.
