On this week’s the Flash, Barry and the gang have to deal with a brand new meta and Danny Trejo.

This time The Flash was at its most light-hearted. There was certainly some danger, but it all felt pretty safe. Cisco had to deal with Danny Trejo as Gypsy’s father, the Breacher, and Barry had to deal with an old enemy from his past. They introduced Ralph Dibny, who is the Elongated Man, from the original DC Comics.

This episode was light on drama, but heavy on humor. The only real question was whether or not Barry made a mistake in the past when he took down a supposedly dirty cop. Ralph Dibny was once  a police officer, but lost everything after Barry caught him planting evidence.

It is certainly questionable, but he planted the evidence to put away a guilty man that was going to get off scot-free. Barry has done some questionable things in the past himself, so he sees things in a different light than he used to. This week also featured the special guest star appearance from Danny Trejo who was pretty one-note. It felt a little like a missed opportunity, but it was fun to see him interacting with Cisco.
