2. Captain Marvel

Even though it has been confirmed that Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel will appear in her own self-titled film and in Avengers 4 in 2019, that does not mean she may not be at least be referenced a bit earlier.

Feige had confirmed in an interview with MTV back in 2015 that the Carol Danvers character of Captain Marvel originally was in the script for Avengers: Age of Ultron, but was removed as they needed to establish her back–story.

There are speculations that Captain Marvel was at some point trapped in the Quantum Realm, which would definitely explain her absence as the film of the same name is set during the 90s.

As for appearing in Infinity War, with Feige stating that she is in fact the most powerful character in the MCU, the heroes of Earth will need as many as they can get to stop Thanos.
