Star Wars: The Last Jedi receiving awesome early reactions
Star Wars: The Last Jedi’s early reactions hit Twitter, and critics absolutely loved what they saw.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi will hit theaters soon, with moviegoers prepping to see what happens after the final moments of The Force Awakens. Given its events, this next movie is set to be something special.
Before Star Wars: The Last Jedi receives its worldwide release, critics were given the first look at the two-hour, 31-minute film before anyone else. It’s the longest Star Wars movie ever. Not only that, but some of the critics called this one of this franchise’s greatest pictures — maybe its best.
Before the embargo lifts on the official reviews, let’s see what everyone had to say, and just how positive the reactions were:
Wow. If that doesn’t mean something, then who knows what will?
Those reactions, even if just a small sample size, are incredibly encouraging. No wonder why Disney and Lucasfilm have so much faith in director Rian Johnson, who will get to create his own Star Wars Trilogy, separate from the Skywalker universe. This may not happen for a long time, as Episode IX still remains in the lineup (projected Dec. 2019 release). But, these reactions, for now, should inspire confidence in the franchise’s future.
As for the present-day movie, The Last Jedi can’t hit theaters any sooner. Why will we laugh, scream, gasp and cry, like Joshua Yehl said? What will any of these unknown moments mean for Star Wars? Does this imply death, a turn to the dark side, or something we don’t even know will happen? Too many questions to consider before the release date, with a long five days to go (four for some) before anyone learns the movie’s events.
