Here are five plausible predictions for the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

It’s that time of the year again: Star Wars season. December 15 marks the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi in the United States. It sure seemed like ages for the film to arrive, but I’m finally happy it has come along. Sure Rogue One kept our Star Wars spirits at bay in 2016 and most of this year, but ever since The Force Awakens in 2015, we’ve been desperately waiting to see the saga’s next chapter. I can already hear the sound of the audience as the opening crawl mesmerizes us once more.

Now, there are lots of theories going around on what’ll happen in the film—from Rey turning to the Dark side of the Force to Supreme Leader Snoke being a popular character from previous films. But while some seem a little far-fetched, there are others that seem highly plausible. And no, there won’t be any Jar Jar Binks theories flowing around. (Sorry, Jar Jar fans.)

Today we’ll be exploring five predictions for the upcoming sequel, all of which I believe are likely to occur. Hold tight to your lightsaber, young padawan, as these predictions do sure have the high ground. And as always, potential-yet-speculative spoilers to follow.
