1. Killmonger’s skill

Erik Killmonger has been T’Challa’s fiercest rival for years. So much so, that he is the only person that T’Challa has never beaten in a fight. It doesn’t matter that T’Challa has defeated the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, Namor, the Skrulls, or Dr. Doom. T’Challa has never beaten Killmonger. He may not have all the skill that T’Challa does, but he has found a way to constantly beat T’Challa physically ever time they’ve had an encounter.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen a villain that has captured the viewer’s attention the way Loki and Joker have. Both villains aren’t physically imposing and neither are great fighters. But, what they lack in fighting skill, they make up with intelligence and magnetic personalities. Erik Killmonger has all the personality that both Loki and Joker poses on top of the fighting prowess and genius intellect. It’s key that Killmonger shines, especially since he isn’t someone the public knows.

The minute Michael B. Jordan was cast as Killmonger, my expectations for this movie was raised another notch. I’ve said this in previous articles and I will say again here; I fully expect Michael B. Jordan to knock this role out of the park to the point he gets Oscar consideration. A bold prediction, but one I am willing to hedge my bets on. Just remember you read it here first.
