5. John Constantine

John Constantine is a jerk plain and simple. Anyone that is around him too long will eventually hate him. If they don’t hate him, they’ll probably end up dead. In fact, he choked his twin brother in the womb! A brother who in another reality becomes a magician with opposite morals of Constantine. If that wasn’t enough, Constantine hid his innocence in a magic box so he wouldn’t have this holding him back.

John Constantine is the perfect person for an origin movie. We live in a time where people love anti-heroes. Vic Mackey, Walter White, Deadpool, and the Punisher are all examples of characters that are beloved by the masses. Starting a Constantine movie with him choking his twin in the womb would be a very graphic, but memorable scene.

Constantine isn’t a well-known character, and this could have been one of the reasons that the TV series was canceled. Giving the audiences a background on Constantine in a movie could show the world what a lot of comic book fans have known for years. John Constantine is a deplorable person with a ton of power, personality, and an amazing character with ton of upside.
