1. Kitty Pryde

Kitty Pryde has been an X-Man since she was a teenager and has developed more than a lot of characters on their roster. When she first started, she was timid in fights and when using her powers. But that didn’t last long. As time went on Kitty became one of the most dependable members of the X-Men.

On her first day, the X-Men were captured by the Hellfire Club. After that, Kitty quickly realized the struggle of being an X-Man. Fast forward decades later and Kitty was one of the people Cyclops put on his alpha squad to usher in his new era (back to wearing tights). Cyclops may have wanted to use her as the spokesperson for their team, but she became their savior on multiple occasions. She saved Colossus from being tortured and experimented on, protected the team when a giant sentinel was going to destroy the entire team, and even saved planets. Kitty was willing to sacrifice her life to save Earth and f other planets by phasing a giant bullet floating through space.

Kitty Pryde is currently leading the X-Men in the series X-Men Gold. This is her first time as leader and she is doing an amazing job. In a short time she’s saved New York more than a few times and has already dealt with the bigotry that comes with being the leader of the X-Men. It took a while, but Kitty Pryde is exactly where she should be. Leading mutants into a new era.
