Guardians of the Galaxy: How does it impact Avengers: Infinity War?

How will this play into Infinity War?

There are a few things that play into Avengers: Infinity War. First, we see Thanos fully for the first time and how intimidating he can be without lifting a finger. Thanos just sat in his chair, gave orders, and floated away smiling. This was our first glimpse at how intimidating the Mad Titan is. If someone as tough and feared as Ronan respects Thanos enough to not cross him, then that shows this guy means business.

The scene with the Collector where we actually find out what the Infinity Stones are, how old they are, and how they came to be was well done. The Collector explained everything perfectly. Comic book fans heard rumors that the Stones were in play, but this was confirmation of the rumors. Then, we got to we got to see the power of just one of these stones when the Collector’s worker destroyed his building by accident. When Ronan got hold of the Power Stone, he almost destroyed all of Xandar.

Without Guardians of the Galaxy, we would have had to wait even longer to know the origins of the Stones.
