10. Superboy

There have been two different Superboys in DC Comics. The first was Kon El aka Connor Kent who was a genetic experiment. After Superman was seemingly killed by the superpowered creature, Doomsday, samples of his DNA was taken the government agency that specializes in genetic research, Project Cadmus. The group would merge Superman’s DNA with that of Lex Luthor’s to create what would have been the ultimate weapon. They artificially aged Superboy with the plans to age him into full adulthood, however, those plans were thwarted by the superhero group named Newboy Legion.

After being freed, the teenaged Kryptonian/human hybrid Superboy would eventually join the Teen Titans after Superman’s return. Superboy would be featured on Smallville and played by Connor Stanhope who the older version of Connor Kent. The best story of Connor Kent’s Superboy was the Young Justice story arc which was a major plot in the early goings of the first season.

The other, most modern version of Superboy has been featured in DC Comics: Rebirth. Jonathan Samuel Kent is the son of Lois Lane and Clark Kent. He fights alongside his mother and father in one of Superman’s first Rebirth story arcs. The story sees Jon break a promise to his father that he would not use his powers after he was forced to in order to retrieve his cat Goldie from a falcon. When a being who calls himself, the Eradicator invades the Kent farm, Jon attempts to defeat the enemy who absorbed his father’s powers. Lois suits up as Hellbat to protect her son, when Clark recovers the three of them defeat the bad guy. Jon, along with Damian Wayne would be featured in one of the best series, Super Sons which debuted in 2017 with planned 16 issues that will end in May of 2018.
