13. Tom Holland as Peter Parker (Spider-Man)

After five Spider-Man movies and two different Peter Parkers within less than 15 years, the world was getting tired of Spider-Man. That said, the way Marvel introduced Spider-Man to the MCU was perfect. Having him jump in during Captain America: Civil War instead of giving him his own movie gave Spider-Man a much-needed cushion. It also gave Tom Holland a chance to show the world how great he would be as both Peter Parker and Spider-Man.

Tobey Maguire was a great Peter Parker, but a poor Spider-Man. Andrew Garfield was a decent Peter Parker, but an amazing Spider-Man. Holland was spectacular as both. He was just as insecure and timid as Peter Parker and he made all the jokes as Spider-Man with the delivery you’d assume Spider-Man would. Watching Holland as Spider-Man and Parker was like watching the comic book come to life. I was in awe of how great was.

When Holland was being grilled by Adrian Toomes or talking to Tony Stark for the first time, he reacted with the same nervousness that Peter Parker had as a teenager. When he was calling Happy about his day, it was the same excitement a young Peter Parker had. Holland has given us the Spider-Man we’ve wanted for years.
