The Soul Stone remains the one Infinity Stone not introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Let’s theorize how it may arrive in Avengers: Infinity War.
Avengers: Infinity War is right around the corner and fans have gone back and revisited the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies to brush up on the Avengers. One thing that people will be checking for are clues to where the last Infinity Stone is. Doctor Strange has the Time Stone in the Eye of Agamotto. Vision has the Mind Stone (That Thanos is probably going to rip from Vision’s head). The Space Stone (also called the Tesseract) was in Asgard (but Loki probably stole that in Thor Ragnarok. He has it in the first Avengers: Infinity War trailer). The Power Stone is on Xandar with the Nova Corps. And the Reality Stone is with the Collector. The last one remaining is the Soul Stone and no one knows where it is.
The Soul Stone has been the topic of a lot of conversations among Marvel Comic book fans. It’s the last stone to be revealed. If Thanos gets his hands on all of them, the Universe will be his to do as he pleases. He’s already been seen with more than a few of them, one more would give him an advantage. But where could Thanos find the Soul Stone?
3. Wakanda
One of the more popular assumptions is that the Soul Stone is in T’Challa’s home country Wakanda. Wakanda’s strength comes from its metal called vibranium. The metal came from a rock that fell from space. For centuries, Wakanda has used their metal in everything. It’s stitched in their clothes, it powers their country, and they use it to their weapons. Weapons that are for more superior than almost anything on Earth. What could give this metal so much power? An Infinity Stone could.
In the Avengers: Infinity War trailer, we see Steve Rogers’ team of Avengers and the Wakandan soldiers fighting together against what appears to be Thanos’ army. We also have the great scene where Steve Rogers fighting holding back Thanos’ arm from crushing him. This could mean that Thanos has found the final gem in Wakanda and is going after it. There aren’t a lot of reasons why Thanos would put this much effort and manpower into this venture if not for an Infinity Stone. If the Soul Stone is in Wakanda, Thanos is going to have to crack the Great Mound to get it. With the other Stones he’s collected, this shouldn’t be a problem. Also, since the Soul Stone traps souls, maybe this is where T’Challa goes when he visits his ancestors.
