How scary could this Avengers 4 title be in 2019?
Avengers: Infinity War hasn’t come out yet, and fans are already looking to the future of the Avengers franchise. A fan tweeted, “the fact that the Russo Brothers won’t give us the Avengers 4 title because it spoils Infinity War scares the s**t outta me.” The Russo Brothers relied simply, “It should.”
With two words, the Russo Brothers made every fan of the Avengers collectively poop themselves. What could the title be that would scare fans? Actually, there are a lot of Marvel Comics titles that could do that. I have three titles in particular that are possible choices for the fourth Avengers movie.
3. Avengers: Death of Captain America
There are very few comic book moments that make mainstream media. When Captain America died, it was on everything from CNN to Yahoo News. We all knew that he’d come back at some point, but he was killed at such a downtime. The Marvel Civil War left the superhero community in flux. After Steve Rogers was killed, the Superhero Registration Act was still intact and it affected everyone. A sad moment for Marvel Comics fans.
The easy bet on who’s going to die in Avenger: Infinity War is Steve Rogers. Especially since Chris Evans has stated he’s done playing Captain America. Evans stated, “You want to get off the train before they push you off.” Now, this could all be a ploy to make fans think he’s going to die, but it’s not looking good. The title may not be, Avengers: Death of Captain America, but instead maybe Death of an Avenger. This would leave hope that maybe Captain America will survive the next two movies.
