We do not get a definite answer in this issue, but we do see a few subtle hints at how she might have returned from the grave. It may have something to do with the Darkhold, a book containing Dark Magic, but we’ll have to wait and see on that one.

Eddie also learns something else in this issue. He learns that the symbiote is about to spawn a child. Claire and Mac Gargan (the Scorpion) want the symbiote and it’s spawn for the government to perform tests. Of course, Eddie would try to keep it out of their hands no matter what the cost. The issue ends with the spawn ending up being a stillbirth, and Eddie letting Alchemax keep it to look after.
Overall, I really enjoyed this issue, especially because of all the people from Spider-Man’s world who made appearances. The comic contained appearances from Spider-Woman, the Scorpion (who was the main antagonist of the issue), and Liz Allan. It also really dives into how deep Eddie’s relationship with the symbiote is.
The next comic that has anything to do with Venom is Venomized #5, the conclusion of the series. Then, next month, Venom #1 will be released with a new writer and artist. All of these Venom comics have perfect timing since this is his 30th anniversary and Sony’s Venom is set to release this October.
