9. What about Bob?
Deadpool doesn’t have a lot of friends. Weasel started to hate him, Deadpool stopped speaking to Blind Al after the Dead Reckoning series, and Taskmaster calls him a friend he can’t stand. During a mission to save Agent X, Deadpool comes across a Hydra Agent named Bob. He wasn’t a believer in the Hydra cause. Bob actually joined for the medical insurance. Instead of letting Bob go after the mission was over, Deadpool captured him in hopes to get Hydra to pay a ransom. Naturally, they didn’t.
Despite Bob’s complaining he loved hanging with Deadpool. It may have been dangerous, Deadpool May have slapped him a bunch, he wasn’t respected by his peers, but Bob was happy. After Osborn’s attempt to use Bob to take out Deadpool failed, Deadpool forgave him. Well, after he shot Bob in the leg for betraying him.
Bob may be a lot of things, but he’s honest with Deadpool. Bob may be scared of Wade, but he’s always honest with him. When Deadpool was risking Bob’s life trying to die, Bob called him out. Bob was actually the one who stabbed Deadpool with the syringe that negates Deadpool’s healing factor. Bob may be Wade’s only real friend.
Although, it seemed like everything Deadpool did for Bob came with an opposite effect. Bob betrays him, Deadpool saves him. Deadpool dresses Bob up as a pirate and Deadpool leaves him with millions of dollars in gold coins. Recently, Bob helped Deadpool get the location of the Hydra Steve Rogers that ruined his life.
