Avengers 4 concept art: Breaking down the new lineup of heroes
HOLLYWOOD, CA – APRIL 23: Directors Anthony Russo and Joe Russo and cast
New concept art came into the spotlight for Avengers 4, so let’s break it down.
While Avengers: Infinity War is currently playing in theaters, its untitled sequel is less than a year away. Avengers 4 will pick up directly after the jaw-dropping conclusion to Infinity War where Thanos snapped his fingers and killed half the universe. Many of our favorite heroes turned to dust, leaving only a fraction of the Avengers to save the day. While there isn’t any official footage or pictures, the concept art for the film may have just leaked online.

The concept art for the new Avengers movie, which is usually showcased at San Diego Comic-Con, gives us a very intriguing look at this new lineup of Avengers. While there’s a chance that this could be fake, a lot of it seems to line up and many news outlets have been reporting on it.
Right off the bat, the setting is very ominous and looks like it could be in outer space or some alternate dimension. Also, this is the first time we are able to see all of the original heroes united since Avengers: Age of Ultron. In Infinity War, the heroes were split up in different locations, but Avengers 4 promises to deliver on a reunion of epic proportions.
With so much to break down and analyze, let’s take a look at this dazzling new lineup of heroes as well as their new costumes and design changes.
Iron Man
Every new Marvel movie featuring Iron Man has introduced a new suit – and it looks like Avengers 4 will be no exception. While the first half of the suit looks almost identical to the Mark L Armor featured in Infinity War, there seems to be an interesting red-and-gold stripe design running down the bottom half of the torso as well as the legs.
This is most likely just a design change rather than a major technological advancement. On the other hand, it’s almost a given that Tony Stark will have some brand new toys to show off as this is most likely the last time we will get to see the iconic Robert Downey Jr. play Iron Man.
Captain America
Captain America had a very rugged look in Avengers: Infinity War, which is quite out of the ordinary for his character. Dropping the Captain America persona, Steve Rogers removed the star from the center of his uniform and the entire suit was dirtied into a slightly darker color with many rips. In this upcoming movie, however, Captain America is back and better than ever with a bold and clean new suit. Also, it looks like his beard was also a temporary look as Cap is rocking the clean-shaved look.
The one final piece of Captain America’s suit that is missing is his iconic shield. Just like Iron Man, this is most likely the last time we will get to see Steve Rogers don the Captain America costume. Given that, I find it very unlikely that they wouldn’t give him his shield back for his final movie. Marvel is probably keeping the shield reveal undercover, perhaps they’ll even give him the modern pointy shield that Cap is currently wielding in the comics.
Thor
Thor is continuing to rock his costume from Avengers: Infinity War, which is honestly one of the coolest looks the God of Thunder has had in the MCU so far. He is also holding his new weapon, Stormbreaker, that will almost definitely be used in some epic action sequences.
