We already have the Joker set for the other, darker DC Universe. Here are five more movies we like to see from the dark side of DC.

We already knew that Warner Bros. was going beyond their current DC Extended Universe. Reports suggested that there would be two different brands for DC movies. We’d have the DCEU with Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash and all that encompasses those heroes. The other brand, however, was expected to be a darker spin on DC comics. In fact, director Todd Phillips and star Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker standalone film will be part of the untitled brand. Now, according to THR, DC’s other brand has two possible titles — “DC Dark” or “DC Black.”

DC Dark has a great ring to it, and the Joker is an interesting film to kick off the universe. Nevertheless, before this untitled darker brand can be deemed a “universe” they’ll need more than the Joker. In the comics, DC has a Dark Universe with a plethora of characters and stories. But our list isn’t just limited to the Dark Universe. Here are seven characters and stories we’d like to see in DC Dark.

8. Justice League Dark

There’s no movie we want to see as part of DC Dark more than Justice League Dark. There has been this on again off again relationship with its live-action development. Directors have come and gone and it was thought to be canceled. Thankfully, however, the new DC Dark could save this movie and make it happen sooner rather than later.

As a matter of fact, Jon Spaihts is currently working on the script. The movie will follow a group of supernatural people who is summoned by Madame Xanadu. Under the leadership of John Constantine, these heroes will take down supernatural and paranormal beings the other Justice League members can’t.

The list of DC characters includes John Constantine, Zatanna, Swamp Thing, Deadman, Spectre and many more. Each member has a tale of their own that could work as a solo movie. This would give this dark DC a foundation and open up the floodgates of endless tales and possibilities. This has to be the top priority. In the meantime, you can check out the animated movie, Justice League Dark
