After an entertaining, and appreciated, look at a vacation from the past, the main story line continues. When Jody Houser took over for Gerry Conway and Ryan Stegman as a writer, she continued with many of the elements they established. Among them was Annie May Parker/Spiderling being involved with the X-Men. While she’s been training as a hero alongside Spider-Man and MJ since she was a kid, she also got a crash course with Marvel’s merry mutants. Yet this also means dealing with the X-Men’s enemies.

When the Parkers first visited the X-Men, they wound up fighting Magneto and the Brotherhood. Now, with Annie May being a teenage heroine, she’s caught the attention of Mister Sinister. The resident “mad geneticist” of the X-Men’s rogue’s gallery, Mr. Sinister is known for two things. Firstly, his obsession with the offspring of Cyclops and Jean Grey, and secondly, clones. Mr. Sinister makes clones almost as often as Miles Warren, better known as the Jackal. And he may have made a clone of Spiderling!
