DCEU’s Birds of Prey: 8 actresses who will diversify the heroines

Millions of fans know Nathalie Emmanuel as the queen’s right hand to, Missandei. When she isn’t helping the Mother of Dragons conquer worlds, she’s staring in movies. The 29-year old UK actress had roles in two block buster franchises, Fast and Furious and Maze Runner. Often times we look for actors who have played similar roles but it doesn’t matter. Emmanuel has plenty of talent and star potential.

Still, Emmanuel’s character on Game of Thrones isn’t exactly Huntress like, but she has similar traits. Missandei knows what she wants and goes after it and has shown perseverance, leadership, and intellect. Robbie’s comments about diversity echoed what Emmanuel told THR when asked what the biggest problem in Hollywood was. 

"“Representation, whether it’s diversity, whether it’s the types of women and female characters that are represented, characters that we can relate to and see in our everyday lives. Just generally more equality in every sense of the word.”"

A major part of Huntress backstory is her families mafia connections. And there won’t be much that has to change since the UK is full of organized crime.
