DCEU’s Birds of Prey: 8 actresses who will diversify the heroines

Jing Tian  is an Chinese actress who is slowly making her way into the world of Hollywood. Casting her would undoubtably attract a different demographic, albeit an important one, China. Tian is known in China for movies like Warning Signs, Police State and the series The Glory of Tang Dynasty. In America however, she’s been part of some big budget films, like The Great Wall.

However, her role in Pacific Rim Uprising saw her play a savvy intellectually gifted business woman, Liwen Shao. Shao is heroic, strong and feared and plays a pivotal role in the fight against the Precursor Emissary.

Whether Birds of Prey adheres to  Margot Robbie’s wishes remains to be seen. If it doesn’t, fans won’t be disappointed. The most important thing is telling the story the right way, in an interesting fashion. Birds of Prey has already garnered a ton of support. Filming wi begin early 2019 and we can’t wait for more news to be released.
